Restore a sensor's factory calibration

Restore the original factory calibration of a sensor after it has been manually calibrated.

If a sensor continuously reports data which differs significantly from expected values, the sensor may have been calibrated incorrectly. If this occurs, you should restore the sensor's factory calibration using the steps below. If needed, you can then calibrate the sensor again using the methods described on other pages.

Note

The images below use a Wireless Temperature Sensor (PS-3201) for demonstration purposes. However, all sensors that can be calibrated in SPARKvue have the same process for restoring factory calibration. The only exceptions are the Wireless CO2 Sensor (PS-3208) and the ozone sensor in the Wireless Air Quality Sensor (PS-3226); for more information on these sensors, see their respective calibration pages.

  1. Connect the sensor to SPARKvue.
  2. From the Experiment Screen, select the Live Data Bar for your sensor in the bottom left and click Calibrate measurement.

  3. From the Calibrate Sensor menu, open the Restore Factory Calibration submenu.

  4. Select the sensor and measurement you want to reset to factory calibration, then click Restore.

  5. Click OK.
