Calibrate an altimeter

Calibrate the altitude measurement of an altimeter, such as the one found in the Wireless Barometer (PS-4255).

  1. Connect the device containing the altimeter to SPARKvue.
  2. Create a Graph display with Altitude as one of the measured quantities.
  3. From the Live Data Bar in the bottom left, click on Altitude and select Calibrate measurement from the menu.

  4. Adjust the settings to the following options, as shown in the image below. Once you have done so, click Continue.

    • Sensor: {The name of the temperature sensor being calibrated}
    • Measurement: Altitude (m)
    • Calibration Type: 1 point (Adjust Offset Only)

  5. In the Standard Value box, enter your current elevation in meters, as determined using external resources.

  6. Select Set Calibration, then select OK.
