D2L Brightspace

When properly configured, the D2L Brightspace learning management system allows you to import content from PASCO Portal directly into a course for distribution to students. This process requires Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) integration using LTI 1.3, which must be set up by your organization's Brightspace admin. Once the Portal tool has been created on Brightspace, the Brightspace admin will share the Link Tool name with you. You can then add content items from Portal to your course using the method below.

  1. In the main D2L Brightspace menu, click the Course Selection button, then select the name of the course to which Portal content will be added.

  2. Select the desired module, then select Existing Activities.

  3. The Link Tool name for Portal will be included in the dropdown list for Existing Activities. Select this name.

  4. Browse the content on Portal and select one or more files to add. Multiple files may be selected, but only if all the files are within the same chapter, lesson, or unit. Once you have made your choice, select Confirm, then select Yes to confirm the selection.

You can now view the added Portal content and launch it from the D2L Brightspace platform.
