Canvas

When properly configured, the Canvas learning management system allows you to import content from PASCO Portal directly into a Canvas course. This process requires Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) integration using LTI 1.1 or 1.3, which must be set up by your organization's Canvas admin. Once the LTI application has been created on Canvas, the Canvas admin will share the app name with you. You can then add content items from Portal to your course using the method below.

  1. In the course you wish to add content to, select the Modules page (1) in the navigation bar, then select + (2) in the section to which content will be added.

  2. Select External Tool from the dropdown list, then select the name of the PASCO Portal app from the list.

  3. Browse the content on Portal and select one or more files to add. Multiple files may be selected, but only if all the files are within the same chapter, lesson, or unit. Once you have made your choice, select Confirm, then select Yes to confirm the selection.

  4. Enter a page name, then select Add Item to add the content to the module.

The item will be listed under the module to which it was added. Click the name of the item to view the selected Portal content.
