Navigation bar

Identify the key functions of the navigation bar.

The navigation bar appears at the top of all four pages available in Chemvue's General Data Collection module, with the same functions on all pages. From here you can access any of the pages, as well as control certain basic functions of Chemvue.

Navigation bar

  1. Main Menu

    • New: Create a new experiment file. You can either create a General Data Collection experiment, which is used by the majority of PASCO sensors, or you can create an experiment using a specific Chemvue module.
    • Open: Open a previously saved experiment file.
    • Save: Save the current experiment file.
    • Save as: Change the name and (if desired) file location of the current experiment file.
    • Preferences: Allows you to toggle certain features of the program, such as turning the beeping sound from connected Geiger Counters on or off, as well as showing or hiding connecting lines on the Graph page.
    • Help: Open this help site in your default web browser.
    • About chemvue: View specifications and version information about the version of Chemvue you are using.
    • Exit: Close the program.
  2. Live data page

    Select this icon to switch to the live data page.

  3. Table page

    Select this icon to switch to the table page.

  4. Graph page

    Select this icon to switch to the graph page.

  5. Graph and table page

    Select this icon to switch to the graph and table page.

  6. Wireless Devices

    Use to connect Wireless Sensors to Chemvue.

  7. Hardware Setup

    Opens a list of connected sensors, from which you can access the Sensor Properties menu for each sensor.
