Set up and use manual sampling

Manually record individual data points, rather than continuously recording data.

While in Manual Sampling mode, data is continually monitored but will not be recorded until you select the Keep Sample button. Use this mode when you are recording a sensor measurement versus a non-sensor measurement, such as in an experiment involving Boyle's Law or Beer's Law. This mode is also useful when recording a sensor measurement versus another sensor measurement.

  1. Add measurements to each axis and column in the table and graph screen.
  2. Select the Sampling Options tool.
  3. From the Sampling Options menu, select the dropdown box next to Sampling Mode and choose Manual from the list.
  4. Select OK to exit the Sampling Options menu.
  5. Select Start to begin monitoring data. Chemvue will display the current measurement but not record it.
  6. Select Keep Sample to record a data point. Repeat this step for each data point you wish to record.
  7. Select Stop when you are finished collecting data.
