Manage sensor properties

View or adjust the properties of a sensor using Chemvue.

Many PASCO sensors allow certain aspects of data collection to be controlled through the Sensor Properties menu. For the purposes of this example, we will use the Wireless Conductivity Sensor (PS-3210), but all sensors compatible with Chemvue can have their properties accessed in the same way.

  1. Connect the sensor to Chemvue.
  2. From any page, select the Hardware Setup button in the top right.
  3. From the list of available sensors, select the Sensor Properties icon next to the name of the sensor for which you wish to view or adjust properties.

    Access Sensor Properties

This will open the Sensor Properties menu for the chosen sensor, allowing you to view and, where applicable, edit the properties of the sensor. Any property where the text is grayed out cannot be edited. Any property which can be edited will have a text box, check box, or dropdown box next to its name, as shown with the Ion Coefficient property in the image below.

Note

Not all sensors have editable properties. If a sensor has no properties which can be edited, all properties will be grayed out.
