Change the numerical format
Change the number of decimal places displayed by a display tool when analyzing data. Additionally, select the display style as fixed decimals, scientific notation, or significant figures.
- Select Data Summary from the Tools palette.

Select a measurement, then click Properties next to that measurement's name.

In the Properties window, click Numerical Format to expand the menu.

Make changes to the numerical format for the measurement:

Number Style
Display the measurement as fixed decimals, in scientific notation, or using significant figures.

Number of Decimal Places
Select the number of digits to appear after the decimal place.

Apply Scientific Notation Threshold
Select the checkbox to have the measurement switch to scientific notation when the measurement is a very small or large value. Set the value at which the measurement switches to scientific notation in the Scientific Notation Threshold settings below.

Lower Exponent Threshold
The measurement switches to scientific notation when it's less than 10 to the power of this value. For example, if you set the threshold to -4, the measurement displays scientific notation for values equal to or less than 0.0001.

Upper Exponent Threshold
The measurement switches to scientific notation when it's more than 10 to the power of this value. For example, if you set the threshold to 7, the measurement displays scientific notation for values equal to or more than 10,000,000.

Zero Level Threshold
Set the limit for which the measurement is considered to be zero.
