Change the color of a single run
Capstone includes three methods for changing the color of the data points and connecting lines for a single run of a measurement.
-
On the graph display, right-click the symbol for the run you wish to change the color of in the legend, then select Run Color.
-
Select Data Summary from the Tools palette, then navigate to the desired measurement and run. Right-click the run's name, then select Color picker.
-
Select Data Summary from the Tools palette, then click the name of the desired run. Click Properties next to the run's name to open the Properties menu, then click the ... box next to Run Color.
Each of these methods will open the color picker, allowing you to change the color of the selected run.
Color picker
The color picker is the tool used to change the color of a given run. Color for the selected run can be chosen by any of the following methods:
- Choose a color from the list of 48 preselected basic colors in the top left.
- Select a color from the display in the top right, using the bar on the right to control the brightness of the selected color.
- Click Pick Screen Color, then click anywhere on the screen to set the run color to the color of the point on the screen where you clicked.
- Enter the RGB (Red, Green, Blue) values for the desired color into the number boxes on the far right.
- Enter the HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value) numbers for the desired color into the number boxes to the left of the RGB boxes.
- Enter the HTML color code of the desired color into the text box in the bottom right.
Upon selecting a color using any of these methods, all displays in the color picker will automatically adjust to match the selected color. A display of the selected color can be seen in the large rectangle to the left of the HSV boxes.
The bottom left portion of the screen contains a set of custom colors which are defined by the user. To add a color to the custom colors menu, select a color using any of the above methods, then click Add to Custom Colors. The color picker can hold up to 16 custom colors at a time, keeping them saved even if Capstone is closed.

-
To adjust the shared run color, click the ... box next to Color to open the color picker.
