Restore a sensor's factory calibration
Restore the original factory calibration of a sensor after it has been manually calibrated.
If a sensor continuously reports data which differs significantly from expected values, the sensor may have been calibrated incorrectly. If this occurs, you should restore the sensor's factory calibration using the steps below. If needed, you can then calibrate the sensor again using the methods described on other pages.
Note
The image below uses a Wireless Temperature Sensor (PS-3201) for demonstration purposes. However, all sensors that can be calibrated in Capstone have the same process for restoring factory calibration. The only exceptions are the Wireless CO2 Sensor (PS-3208) and the ozone sensor in the Wireless Air Quality Sensor (PS-3226); for more information on these sensors, see their respective calibration pages.
- Connect the sensor to Capstone.
- Select Calibration from the Tools palette.
- Select the measurement for your sensor from the dropdown list, then click Next.
-
Select Restore Factory Calibration from the list of calibration types, then click Next.
-
Click Finish.
